Tip leads LCSO detectives to stolen UTV and several arrests in Bronson

Bronson, Florida - On Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2021, the Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Criminal Investigations Division and Drug Task Force received information as to the possible location of a stolen utility vehicle (UTV) at 10151 NE 48th Lane in Bronson, the home of Tye Pierce.
Detectives arrived to find a UTV parked in the yard that had been altered in appearance by being painted, a brush guard being removed and the roll cage being reduced in height by several inches. Detectives confirmed that the UTV was the UTV that had been reported stolen.
Donna Boyd, who was on probation for possession of a controlled substance, was detained in the yard when detectives first arrived. She told detectives that numerous people were inside the residence who were likely hiding from detectives, refusing to voluntarily come outside.
Based on a reasonable suspicion that evidence in the home could be destroyed, detectives conducted a security sweep of the inside of the home and found several people, hiding inside the home, who were detained.
Detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant. Detectives found a stolen motorcycle inside the living room.
As the search of the home and property was being conducted, several people arrived at the residence which made them subject to the search. They were found to be in violation of Florida laws and were arrested. In addition to the stolen motorcycle and UTV, detectives also located firearms, drugs and ammunition.
Arrests included:
Tye Pierce, 31, of Bronson, charged with dealing in stolen property ($50,000 bond).
Roy Darrell Robinson, 37, of Bronson, charged with possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance, and driving while license suspended or revoked ($61,000 bond).
Shane Mozdzer-Mackey, 27, of Bronson, charged with resisting an officer without violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia
($11,000 bond).
Michele McKay, 37, of Bronson, charged with possession of fentanyl ($11,000 bond).
Renee Shephard, 42, of Bronson, charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance, and introduction of contraband into a detention facility ($55,000 bond).
Donna Boyd, 38, of Bronson, charged with violation of probation (no bond).
