Inverness man killed in Jan. 12 crash
Citrus County, Florida - A 51 year-old Inverness, FL man was killed on Tuesday, Jan. 12, in a single vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 5:01 pm on State Road 44 in Inverness. According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol, the man, whose name was not released due to Marsy's Law (Florida's victim privacy law), was driving a motorcycle, traveling east in the outside lane of State Road 44 and slowed to complete a right turn onto southbound East Boy Scout Road, lost control of the motorcycle, which overturned within the roadway. The driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
