Ten arrested when search warrant served at Homosassa residence

Citrus County, Florida - Ten people were arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) Team, with the assistence of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, when a narcotics search warrant was served at a 6451 W Park Dr., Homosassa on Thursday, Jan. 7.
Deputies arrived at the residence to find 14 people who lived at the home or within various sheds, campers, and RV's on the property, all using the power of the main structure, which was in "complete disrepair," according to a CCSO press release.
Detectives located narcotics which included a trafficking amount (35.5 grams) of methamphetamine, black tar heroin, various narcotic pills, cannabis wax, and cannabis; a 9mm pistol, and $1,729.00 in cash.
Those arrested and their charges include:
•Mark Charles Weatherly, 20 - trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (heroin), possession of a controlled substance (buprenorphine), possession of a controlled substance (cannabis wax), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handcuff key, resisting arrest without violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Weatherly, who has three previous felony convictions, was also arrested on a Citrus County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of paraphernalia.
•Amy Susan Lyons, 49 - possession of drug paraphernalia.
•Jamey Laramee, 44 - possession of drug paraphernalia. Laramee has two previous felony convictions.
•Faith Marie Bergman, 42 - possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, and possession of paraphernalia. Bergman has three previous felony convictions.
•Louis Michael Lauro, 47 - possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and owning, leasing or renting a drug dwelling. Lauro has four previous felony convictions.
•Shonda Lea Sergent, 33 - possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of cannabis less than 20 grams. Sergent has two previous felony convictions.
•Ashlee Rose Felsentreger, 26 - possession of drug paraphernalia
•Richard Clarence Miller, 26 - possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller has four previous felony convictions.
•Shirley Rena Hughes, 28 - possession of drug paraphernalia. Hughes has one previous felony conviction.
•Ormond Kenneth Revels, 49 - possession of a controlled substance and possession of dru paraphernalia. Revels has fourteen previous felony convictions.
"Thank you to our diligent professionals for getting these drugs off our streets," said Citrus County Sheriff Mike Prendergast. "They are the men and women in green that work tirelessly to protect the residents of our great county. We will continue to fight illicit drug activity in our community at every given opportunity. Thanks to great partnerships, like the one we have with the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, drug dealers are not safe anywhere in Florida."
After the arrests were made, County Code Compliance responded to the residence to evaluate the property's condition, and determined that they will begin the legal process to demolish all of the structures on the property.
