Join Us LIVE! Memories in the Making
A unique program that encourages creative expression for individuals in the early stages of dementia. Participants create imaginative and colorful paintings. Most have no prior art experience. Be guided by a trained facilitator from the comfort of your own home. The painting process provides an opportunity to communicate emotions, stories and memories. Behavior is a powerful form of communication and is one of the primary ways people living with dementia communicate their needs and feelings as the ability to use language is lost. However, some behaviors can present real challenges for caregivers to manage. Join us to learn to decode behavioral messages, identify common triggers, and learn strategies to help manage some of the most common behavioral challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

During this program learn how to recognize common signs of Alzheimer’s disease, how to approach someone about memory concerns, the importance of early detection, the benefits of a diagnosis, possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer's Association resources. In addition, Dr. Jeffrey Norton presents on the importance of participating in clinical trials.
