Homosassa man, 83, dies after Dec. 2, Kracker Ln., Homosassa traffic crash
Homosassa, Florida - An 83 year-old Homosassa man driving a pickup truck died early Wednesday morning, Dec. 2, 2020, after a single-vehicle traffic crash that occurred in Homosassa.
According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 4:00 am on Kracker Ln., west of S. Gray Oak Ter.
The pickup truck was traveling east on Kracker Lane, when for unknown reason, the driver lost control of the truck, departed from the roadway onto the north shoulder, and collided with a tree. The driver was transported to an area hospital where he later expired from injuries sustained during the crash.
According to the press release, the man was wearing a seatbelt and carried no passengers. The man's name was not released to the public.
