THE NUMBER OF CORONAVIRUS CASES IS RAPIDLY INCREASING. PLEASE FOLLOW SOCIAL DISTANCING AND OTHER SAFETY GUIDELINES - AND WEAR A MASK.

COVID-19 in the U.S.: (Was 10,170,846 cases, 239,590 deaths, and 846,956 cases withint the last 7 days - 34,728 of the new cases in Florida) and now is 11,843,490 cases, 192,673 new cases, 49.8 cases per 100,000, and 253,600 deaths. These numbers include the 50 states, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, and U.S. Virgin Islands. 

COVID-19 WORLDWIDE: (Was 52,389,474 cases, 14,452,376 currently infected patients, 1,288,480 deaths, and 36,648, 618 who have recovered) and now is 58,873,448 cases, 16,770,495 currently infected patients, and 40,710,886 who have recovered.
    
COVID-19 in FLORIDA: (Was 858,012 total cases, 51,115 resident hospitalizations, and 17,512 deaths) and now is 931,827 total cases, 53,266 resident hospitalizations, and 18,152 total deaths. 

COVID-19 in LEVY COUNTY: (Was 1,227 total cases, 92 hospitalizations, and 12 deaths) and now is 1,329 total cases, 97 hospitalizations, and 12 deaths.

COVID-19 in CITRUS COUNTY: (Was 3,696 total cases, 358 hospitalizations, and 143 deaths) and now is 4,266 total cases, 396 total hospitaliizations and 157 deaths.

COVID-19 in MARION COUNTY: (Was 11,455 total cases, 1,106 hospitalizations, and 362 deaths) and now is 12,341 total cases, 1,149 total hospitalizations, and 374 deaths.

According to the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) in regard to COVID-19, the elderly and those with underlying medical problems like high blood pressure, heart problems and diabetes are more likely to develop serious illness.

SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS:

Wash your hands often with soap and water – 20 seconds or longer or use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Practice social distancing. If you are around other people, keep 6 feet between you when possible. Avoid hugs, handshakes, large gatherings and close quarters.

Wear a face mask when around others or in public. To test the efficiancy of your mask: If you can blow out a candle while wearing your mask, you should find a more effective mask (additional layers of fabric or add a filter).

People with COVID-19 have reported a wide range of symptoms reported, ranging from mild symptoms to severe illness. Symptoms may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure to the virus.
