Donald Ernest Whippie, 63, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with driving under the influence ($1,000 bond), after a Florida Highway Patrol trooper noticed he was unable to engage the kickstand of his motorycle and conducted a traffic stop. The report stated that the trooper noticed other signs of impairment and conducted roadside sobriety testing on Mr. Whippie, who performed poorly, and Mr. Whippie refused to submit to breath alcohol testing.

Clinton James Stiller, II, 30, of Inverness, FL, was arrested on a Citrus Couny warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of violation of an injunction for protection against domestic violence (no bond).

Kristen April Murray, 20, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with violation of misdemeanor probation.

Jonathan Brian Bagon, 35, of Inverness, FL, was charged with two counts of failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge, with his combined bonds set at $1,026.

Malakhi Jaheim Bellamy, 18, of Lecanto, FL, and Strother Jones Natteal, V, 18, of Homosassa, FL, were arrested Nov. 18, and Adrian Gage Williams, 22, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested, Nov. 19, on Citrus County warrants, as the result of an investigation into a complaint made by a victim, that he met with them at W. Constitution Ln. and S. Gettysburg Dr. in Crystal River, after Bellamy sent him a text message asking him to meet him there so that Bellamy could pay him for marijuana he'd purchased from him the previous day. When he arrived at the location, the victim said, he was grabbed from behind. He said one of the suspects took his wallet, iPhone XR (valued at $1,000), and car keys, while another suspect stole a small amount of marijuana from inside his vehicle. He said that Bellamy wrestled with him, and he told them where his handgun was located. He said Bellamy retrieved the hangun (loaded with seven rounds), pointed it at him with a threat, and the suspects then left the area. Bellamy and Natteal were each charged with grand theft of $750 or more, but less than $5,000; grand theft of a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, battery, burglary during which the perpetrator becomes armed with a firearm, and robbery with a firearm ($82,000 bond). Williams was charged with grand theft of $750 or more, but less than $5,000; grand theft of a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, burglary during which the perpetrator becomes armed with an explosive or other dangerous weapon, and robbery with a firearm ($56,000 bond).


Jacob Michael Barton, 39, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested on a Citrus County warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of battery ($4,500 bond).

David Matthew Vickers, 44, of Floral City, FL, was arrested on a Citrus County warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of driving while license suspended or revoked, second or subsequent offense (no bond).

John Andrew Leibacher, 53, of Hernando, FL, was arrested on a Citrus County writ of bodily attachment in the amount of $678 for failure to pay child support.

Sidney Rechee Benton, 33, of Ocala, FL, was arrested on a Citrus County warrant for possession of a firearm by convicted felon, and shooting into a dwelling ($20,000 bond), and pemeditated murder (no bond) and transported from the Marion County Jail in Ocala, FL to the Citrus County Detention Facility in Lecanto, FL. Mr. Benton is the suspect of a drive-by type shooting that occurred in Inverness, FL on Sept. 29, 2020. The house had numerous bullet holes to its exterior, but no one inside the home was injured. Witnesses told detectives, that earlier in the day, one of the residents had gotten into an argument with Mr. Benton and a Marion County woman regarding narcotics, and later in the day, the woman and a man (believed to be Mr. Benton) had driven to the residence. The woman allegedly demanded property she believed the female resident had. Two of the residents told  the Marion County woman to leave, and as she was getting inside the vehicle she'd arrived in, a man (believed to be Mr. Benton) standing next to the vehicle, fired shots at them. The same vehicle was later located at Benton's Ocala, FL residence.

Chad Warren Ross, 40, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($3,000 bond).

Hayley Dawn Ross, 30, of Inverness, FL, was charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and introducing a controlled substance into a state correctional facility as an inmate ($7.000).

Casey Dawn Miller, 45, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia ($1,000 bond).

Charles Joseph Baculik, 35, of Inverness, FL, was charged with resisting an officer without violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructiong a search warrant ($3,000 bond).

Jason Scott Flynn, 43, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($3,000 bond).

Deborah Ann Duke, 65, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia ($1,000 bond).

Amber Danielle Summers, 43, of Inverness, FL, was charged with child abuse without causing great bodily harm ($2,000 bond). According to a press release by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Ms. Summers, who was employed by a daycare, was accused of  being physically aggressive toward an autistic, non-verbal juvenile, and that surveillance video showed her using unnecessary force, several times, while moving the child around the facility. Ms. Summers' employment with the daycare was terminated. According to the press release, Ms. Summers told detectives that she agreed that her actions were aggressive, that she'd been frustrated that day.

Amy Helena Gerhardt, 33, of Inverness, FL, was arrested on two warrants: violation of felony probation, and failure to appear in court on a felony charge of burglary of a structure or conveyance (no bond).

Thomas Paul Smith, 24, of Hernando, FL, was arrested during the investigation of a traffic crash that occurred at N. Florida Ave. and E. Van Ness Rd. in Hernando, on a Citrus County warrant for possession of more than 20 grams of mairjuana ($1,000 bond).

Joshua Michael Strause, 47, of Lecanto, FL, was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card ($2,000 bond).

Brandy Nicole Risner, 35, of Dunnellon, FL, was charged with driving while licene knowingly suspended or revoked, first offense ($1,000 bond), during a traffic stop conducted on N. Carl G Rose Hwy. in Hernando, FL, due to a seatbelt violation.

Clinton Joseph Stevenson, 23, of Brooksville, FL, was arrested in the 2300 block of N. Florida Ave. in Hernando, FL, on a Sarasota County, FL warrant for petit theft of $100 or more, but less than $750. He was released on his own recognizance.

Phillip L. Weekley, 38, of Pensacola, FL, was arrested on a Citrus County, FL writ of bodily attachment in the amount of $1,177, due to failure to pay child support. He paid his cash purge bond of $1,199 in Escambia County, FL on Nov. 19.

Jonathan Michael Rogers, 41, of Floral City, FL, was arrested at the Duval Island boat ramp, located at 7790 S. Duval Island Dr. in Floral City, on a Citrus County warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving while license suspended or revoked, second offense ($2,000 bond).

Patrick James Crocker, 35, of Floral City, FL, was arrested by a Special Agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as the result of an undercover internet operation to identify people using peer-to-peer (P2P) software on the internet to traffic or distribute images of child pornography. The agent found internet files that depicted sexual performance by a child, associated with the internet protocol (IP) site assigned to Mr. Crocker, and although Mr. Crocker told the agent that he had a roommate who lived at his address and used his computer during Sept. 2020, the roommate was incarcerated on Oct. 1, and the agent was able to download files from Crocker's IP address on Oct. 12, 2020. Crocker was charged with knowingly possessing a photograph or video showing sexual conduct by a child, and possession of a photograph or video to promote sexual conduct by a child ($90,000 bond). 

Alecia Marie Smith, 43, of Lecanto, FL, a passenger inside a vehicle during a traffic stop conducted in the 6700 block of S. Suncoast Blvd. in Homosassa, FL, due to the vehicle having no visable decal on the license plate, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($4,000 bond). The arrest report stated that Ms. Smith was found to be in possession of 9 diazepam pills, approximately 3.07 grams of cannabis, and a glass pipe that tested rositive for methamphetamine residue.
