Eric Russel Borgersen, 37, of  Homosassa, FL, was charged with domestic battery (no bond).

Michael Anthony Vassell, 30, of Inverness, FL, was charged with domestic battery by strangulation (no bond). 

SEE MUGSHOT Joshua D. Thompson, 39, of Inglis, FL, was charged with retail petit theft, second offense ($1,000 bond). Mr. Thompson is accused of placing merchandise inside a shopping cart at the Inverness, FL Walmart store, and then passing all points of sale, with the merchandise, without paying for the items, which included a television stand, face mask, security camera system, clothing, and a 55-inch L.G. television. The report stated that Mr. Thompson had been convicted of theft on Sept. 13, 2017.

Philip Glenn Shafer, 31, of Hernando, FL, turned himself in at the Wells Fargo Nank located at 2437 E. Gulf to Lake Hwy. in Inverness, FL, and was arrested on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on original charges of driving while license suspended or revoked, and having a tag attached to a vehicle that is not assigned to it (no bond).

Christopher Michael  Lanford, 31, of Ocala, FL, was charged with resisting an officer without violence ($1,000 bond).

Trevor Shane Callaway, 23, of Ocala, FL, turned himself in, to the Citrus County Sheriff's Office Warrants Division and was arrested on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of driving under the influence (no bond).

Kristen Leigh Schaefer, 50, of Lecanto, FL, was issued a notice to appear in court citation during a traffic stop conducted on N. Crede Ave. in Crystal River, FL, due to a seatbelt violation. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, an injection needle that tested positive for heroin.

Bobby Gene Metz, II, 52, of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon wihout intent to kill (no bond).

She's accused of using the victim's debit card, on Oct. 3 and 4, 2020, to make six unauthorized transactions totaling $1,761. The report stated that the victim suffers from dementia and was unable to make the purchases.

Clinton James Stiller, II, 30, of Inverness, FL, was arrested on a Citrus County, FL warrant for violation of an injunction for protection against domestic violence (no bond), and criminal mischief of $200 or more, but less than $1,000 ($1,000 bond).

Cedrick Lamar Stewart, 32, of Beverly Hills, FL, was arrested at the Bayfront Health Citrus Hills Emergency Room, located at 907 W. Norvell Bryant Hwy. in Hernando, FL, on a Lake County, FL warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of operating a vehicle while driver's license knowingly suspended ($2,000 bond).

Kenneth Alfred Smith, 42, of Inverness, FL, was arrested at his residence on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misidemeanor probation on an original charge of driving while license suspended or revoked ($755 bond).

Katie Wren Martin, 32, of Crystal River, FL, was charged with driving under the influence ($1,000 bond) during a traffic stop conducted at W. Horace Allen St. and N. Lecanto Hwy. (CR 491) in Lecanto, FL, due to failure to maintain a single lane and having an expired vehicle registration. The report stated that Ms. Martin exhibited signs of impairment and admitted she'd consumed two shots of alcohol about two hours previously, that she performed poorly on roadside sobriety testing, and her breath alcohol test results were 0.147 and 0.150 (the legal limit is 0.08).

Brian Christopher Curry, Sr., 39, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested on 3 warrants for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge.

Jessie Larry Dunn, Jr., 42, of Floral City, FL, was  arrested on a Citrus County felony warrant for failure to comply with sex offender reporting reqirements (no bond).

Elizabeth Ann Handelsman, 40, of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with retail petit theft of more than $100, but less than $750 (no bond).

Joshua Ryan Bertels, 33, of Inverness, FL, was charged with retail petit theft of $100 or less ($500 bond) from the Walmart store, located at 2461 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy. in Inverness. The report stated, that according to a loss prevention officer employed by the store, Ms. Bertels donned a brown camouflage jacket, valued at $59.98; concealed a silver Casio watch, valued at $29.92, on his person, and then passed all points of sale without paying for the two items.

SEE MUGSHOT Starr Mary Hunter, 25, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested at her residence on a Marion County, FL warrant for murder while engaged in a felony offense (no bond). A request to the Marion County Sheriff's Office for information regarding the case was unsuccessful, but according to the Ocala Star-Banner newspaper, a decomposing male body was discovered, in Feb. 2020, buried in the back yard of a residence located in southwest Marion County, in the Florida Highlands area, off SR 200, and last month, a second set of human remains were located about 35 to 40 yards away from the first human remains, but the cases may not be related, and it is unclear if either case is related to Ms. Hunter's arrest. The newspaper said that the indictment is sealed, so the details of the case are confidential, that Ms. Hunter's first appearance in Marion County Court was on Nov. 19, when her bond was set at none, that she was appointed a public defender, and a grand jury hearing of the case is scheduled for Dec. 2020.
