Work Day at the YIWC Kidz Eatz Community Garden

On Saturday, November 7, 2020, at 9:0) am, the Yankeetown/Inglis Woman's Club (YIWC) will be constructing raised garden beds, raking, trimming, cleaning, and moving stuff at the YIWC Kidz Eatz Community Garden on Follow That Dream Blvd. *Highway 40 West) next to the Inglis Municipal building. Bring your gloves, rakes, saws, driver drills, and let's get it done.  Yankeetown School FFA club needs 4 beds to get started.

Thanks to the Lions Club and the Town of Inglis we will be able, at a later time, to install timers, hose bibs, and an irrigation system for the garden.  Once that is completed we will install yard cloth and mulch for the walkways.  Stay tuned.

We have had several beds donated and are now looking for more dirt, top soil and mature fruit trees to supplement the Kidz Eatz weekend meal plan with fresh fruits and veggies.  One of our neighbors purchased a fruit tree in memorium for a lost friend.  What a great way to honor someone!

So, we hope to see you out on November 7th at 9:00 am!  Come on out and help us make this happen for our community.
