Crumps Landing, Homosassa fire contained to laundry area
Engine 3 from Homosassa Fire Station arrived on scene first at 2:28 pm to find smoke coming from an approximately 30 feet by 30 feet laundry shed on the property.
The crew made entry into the shed to find a table with laundry and grease rags involved with fire, and minimal smoke and heat. Personnel from Crumps Landing had extinguished most of the fire using fire extinguishers prior to the arrival of fire crews, so the request for additional assistance was not needed, thus cancelled.
No extension of the fire or oher hazards were found, and the structure was ventilated. The fire was called under control at 2:27 pm, and crews cleared the scene at 2:57 pm. There were no injuries. The she was turned over to the manager of the establishment.
