Archer, FL man arrested, charged with sex crimes against children in Bronson, FL

Levy County, Florida - On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, detectives from the Levy County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) arrested William Luther Hodson, 29, of Archer, FL, as the suspect of sex crimes against minors within Levy County. Hodson was charged with 3 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, 1 count of sexual battery by a person in familial or custodial authority, and 1 count of child abuse. He is being held at the Levy County Jail on a combined bond of two million dollars ($1,500,000).

According to the LCSO, evidence in the case indicated that Hodson engaged in unlawful sexual acts with "multiple" victims under the age of 18, in Bronson, FL during 2020, and he had been in a custodial relationship with at least one victim.

The LCSO was assisted during the investigation by personnel with the School Board of Levy County and the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCR).

The LCSO and other agencies involved in the investigation have taken steps to provide for the safety and follow up care for the victims.
