September is Falls Prevention Month

Get the Facts on Falls Prevention

According to the CDC, fourteen million, or 1 in 4 Americans, age 65 and older, falls each year. Among older adults who fall, over half receive care in a hospital; the estimated annual average cost per inpatient visit for falls injuries is $18,658 and $1,112 per emergency department visit. But falls are not inevitable. Join us for our Falls Prevention event Sept. 24th at the Gainesville Senior Center to learn more about falls prevention.

Supporting Elder Options

Supporting Seniors & Caregivers - University of Florida Campaign for Charities

Help us keep seniors and disabled adults independent in their communities. Through November, donate at https://ufcc.ufl.edu/ to support vital Elder Options programs like Savvy Caregiver, SHINE, Tai Chi and so much more. Each contribution empowers seniors and their caregivers with the resources they need to thrive.

Multi-Event Sponsorship Package

We're excited to announce a limited-time sponsorship opportunity that maximizes your community impact across Alachua and Marion counties..

Your sponsorship directly supports Elder Options' mission of providing vital resources, education, and support services to those who need them most. Since 1977, we've been serving our community, and these events continue that tradition by bringing together hundreds of attendees seeking important aging and caregiving information.
