Floral City mobile home 100% destroyed by fire, with no injuries

Floral City, Florida - At 6:10 pm on Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, Citrus County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a fire at an E. Cardinal Place, Floral City, FL residence. A unit from the Floral City Fire Station was first to arrive on scene at 6:24 pm, to find a single wide mobile home with an attached porch and junkyard conditions, fully involved with fire. Firefighters also found that exposures on both sides of the structure had siding that was melting from the heat. A crew began cooling the exposures and extinguishing the flames to the mobile home. The flamess to a car that was also fully involved in fire was also extinguished. The fire was called under control at 6:34 pm, and crews cleared the scene at 9:45 pm. No injuries were reported.
Other fire stations with various personnel and equipment that assisted Floral City with extinguishing the fire included Highlands, Kensington, Hernando, Connell Heights, and Citrus Springs.
