Inverness, Florida - During the early morning hours of December 17, 2024, a search warrant was executed at a residence located on East Lambert Lane in Inverness by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and the Tactical Impact Unit (TIU)

The search warrant was the result of a drug investigation, initiated by the TIU, when information was received that 52 year-old Erich Lee Taylor and 43 year-old Brandi Lee Robinson were selling illegal narcotics within Citrus County. Detectives determined that the couple was indeed dealing in illicit narcotics, mainly fentanyl, and established probable cause to search their residence.

When officials arrived at the residence, all occupants of the home were ordered to exit the residence, but only the homeowner, 40-year-old Christopher George Turco complied. SWAT team members made entry into the residence and found Taylor and Robinson inside a bedroom. After additional commands by detectives, the duo complied and were removed from the home.

During the search of the home, TIU members located the drugs fentanyl, methamphetamine and alprazolam, along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia indicative of drug sales.

Arrests included:
• Taylor, a five-time convicted felon, was charged with trafficking in more than 28 grams of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (alprazolam), and possession of drug paraphernalia (no bond).
• Robinson, a one-time-convicted felon, was charged with trafficking in more than 28 grams of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (alprazolam), and possession of drug paraphernalia (no bond).
• Turco, who has no criminal convictions, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a misdemeanor notice to appear in court citation.

"I am proud of the efforts of the Tactical Impact Unit, whose investigations, such as this, saves countless lives," said Citrus County Sheriff Mike Prendergast. "The amount of fentanyl seized during this operation had the potential to kill thousands of people. Deadly drugs, especially fentanyl, and those who deal in these dangerous substances, are peddlers of death and have no place in our community."
