Medicare Open Enrollment continues through Saturday, December 7, 2024
Medicare Open Enrollment occurs annually from October 15 to December 7, during which beneficiaries can make changes to their Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans. SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) offers free, unbiased counseling to help Floridians understand their options and make informed decisions during this period. The video, "Seniors Can Be Fraud-Fighting, Scam-Busting Superheroes, Too," created by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the worlds largest fraud examiner, contains important anti-fraud information for older adults and their loved ones. While it's dated 2022, the information is still relevant today. The video shows seniors what to look out for, so they won’t become victims of frauds and scams.
