Charlya Barnes, 63, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, Nov. 11, 2024, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill ($5,000 bond).


Joseph William Brooks, 71, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 14, 2024, charged with aggravated battery of a person 65 years of age or older ($15,000 bond).  According to the arrest report, the victim reported that Brooks had become abusive toward her in recent months, and several weeks previously during one of the hurricanes, he had kicked her to the side of her torso, which left bruising and enough pain that she'd gone to an emergency clinic, but the victim said she had not explained to doctors what had caused her injury. On Nov. 7, she said, Brooks had punched her, causing a black eye, which the deputy reported was black and yellow with broken vessels visible. The deputy reported that Brooks denied injuring the victim, telling the deputy that the victim had sustained the black eye when she fell inside the home and the bruising to her side while getting in or out of the bathtub.


Steven Allen Brown, 30, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 14, 2024, charged with criminal mischief with damage to property in the amount of $200 or more but less than $1,000 ($50,000 bond). Brown is accused of vandalizing a business located in the Plaza 40 shopping center, located at 28 Highway 40 East in Inglis. Damages were estimated at a minimum of $500, and included a copper tube to a air conditioning unit and a television screen.


Jordan Michael Cooper, 31, of Yankeetown, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 14, 2024, charged with trespassing ($1,000 bond). The arrest report stated, that on Sept. 25, 2024, Cooper had been trespassed from Our Pub, located at 253 Highway 40 West in Inglis, FL, and returned on Nov. 14. The deputy arrived to find Cooper on the property, drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette.


Jamian Jordan, 36, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 16, 2024, charged with battery ($25,000 bond).


James Edward Lemaster, 38, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 14, 2024, on a Marion County, Florida warrant (no bond). He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and possession of drug equipment ($6,000 bond). The arrest reports stated that deputies arrived at a home in Morriston, FL due to the Marion County, Florida warrant for Lemaster's arrest, and Lemaster immediately told deputies that he was in possession of methamphetamine, which was located inside one of his pockets, as well as a straw (used for inhaling drugs) and a marijuana smoking pipe. The substance in his pocket tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.


Amanda Orem, 35, of Belleview, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, Nov. 12, 2024, charged with fleeing from a law enforcement officer in pursuit - in a marked vehicle with activated emergency lights and sirens ($1,000 bond).


Buck Aaron Owens, 27, of Fort McCoy, FL, was arrested by Officer Alvarez of an unspecified agency, Nov. 8, 2024, and booked into the Levy County Detention Bureau, Nov. 13, 2024, charged with probation violation (no bond).


Dajha Jania Simmons, 21, of Alachua, FL, was arrested by the Alachua County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, Nov. 14, 2024, charged with failure to appear in court ($25,000 bond).


James Tindall, 26, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 11, 2024, charged with simple assault of a person 65 years of age or older ($25,000 bond). The arrest report stated that an altercation occurred between Tindall and an elderly woman, but when deputies arrived at the home where the incident occurred, Tindall had already left the location. However, the victim showed a deputy a Ring security camera recording of the incident that showed Tindall cursing the woman, striking the door in attempts to get inside her home, and then throwing an orange plastic storage bin at the woman, almost striking her. When Tindall was taken into custody, he told deputies that he was throwing the bin at another person, not at the elderly woman.


Kyle Turner, 35, of Springhill, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 11, 2024, charged with driving while license suspended as an habitual offender ($5,000 bond) and probation violation (no bond). 


Lynda Jo Warren, 39, of Cedar Key, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, Nov. 13, 2024, charged with driving while license suspended, first offense; and failure to appear in court ($5,000 bond).


Marilyn Wolff, 26, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Nov. 12, 2024, charged with aggravated child abuse ($50,000 bond).
