Bronson, Florida - On October 23, 2024, 26 year-old Arthur Lee Jones Jr. of Bronson accepted a negotiated plea offer to serve nine years incarceration in the Florida Department of Corrections for numerous crimes committed in 2023 and 2024 related to several residential burglaries committed in the Fanning Springs, Florida area, grand theft. During this time, Jones was also arrested several times on charges that included aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.

Jones has been in custody at the Levy County Detention Bureau in Bronson since April, 2024, and on October 31, 2024, he was transferred from the Levy County Detention Bureau to the Department of Corrections to begin serving his sentence.

"This sentence hopefully gives closure to the citizens he has victimized and will allow them to rest at night knowing he cannot harm them further," said Levy County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Scott Tummond.
