About 3:00 am, deputies were dispatched to a Williston residence due to the complaint of a disturbance. Enroute to the location, a deputy spoke on the phone with a person at the residence who stated that Ramirez had come to his house with his mother, banging on the door, causing trouble. He said that Ramirez had been sending threatening text messages to his mother. In June 2024, he had sent two audio messages that threatened to burn down her house with her family inside it. One message, that had been sent 8 days previously, was a photo of a Sig Sauer P320 handgun with a message that stated, "I am going to put holes in everyone."
The woman told the deputy that she had dated Ramirez, but they had broken up about two years previously, and although he'd made threats before and she'd contacted the LCSO, she'd been unable to do anything about his threats.
She said, earlier in the day, she was hanging out with friends in a shed on her property when Ramirez showed up at the door of the shed, noticeably intoxicated. She said she'd told him that she was going to drive her friends home so they would not have to witness his outburst, which angered him, so she hid inside her residence; he was unable to get inside her home, but had told her something to the effect of, "I am going to hurt you and your daughter." She said that her daughter, a juvenile, was asleep at the time of the incident.
Ramirez was located at his residence and taken into custody. The arrest report stated that the threats were made in Spanish, but were translated into English by a dispatcher.
