Since the Lions Club cannot have the Yankeetown Seafood Festival, the Yankeetown/Inglis Women's Club (YIWC) is in full PLAN B mode for the same weekend.  November 21-22, 2020.

Here's what we have so far:

Blackwater Restaurant has booths available for local artists and vendors.  Call Chris to get the details.  They will have 3 bands Saturday and 3 on Sunday, along with outdoor food and drinks and regular restaurant service.

B's Marina & Campground will have bands in the evening and an RV/Marine/Fishing Swap Meet, food, drinks, and more.

Inglis Masons will have their giant yard sale and fish fry.

Y/I Woman's Club will have an indoor/outdoor giant yard sale.

Friends of the Library will likely have their annual book sale.

Scooter Haven is having the Nature Coast Music Festival Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with vendors, food, music, and camping.  The distribution of the proceeds is yet to be determined, but will be used in our town to support identified needs.  Scooter Haven will have off-site parking and is offering transportation to the venue to any organization that would like to participate and make some money for your own organization. They will provide the bus and can discuss the details and fees you can charge.  If you are interested please contact the YIWC at 352-447-2057, and we will put you in contact with t hem.

Neighbors, churches, service organizations, and businesses: Are you having a yard sale or specials during the TT Yard Sale Crawl?  Businesses, are you having a yard sale or weekend specials?  Please call the Inglis/Yankeetown Womans Club at 352-447-2057 and leave a message to let us know, so we can add you to the list and MAP that will be distributed at local businesses and the Withlacoochee Area Chamber of Commerce.  If you want to be on the map you must reply with your address and the date and time of your event, to be included.

Don't forget Tuesday night, September 15, at 6:00 pm is our Healthy Community Initiative meeting, at the Y/I Woman's Club, located at 5 56th St, in Yankeetown, FL, to work out the details of this event, holiday events, Christmas parade, kids Christmas, the Kidz Eatz Community Garden, and any other fundraising ideas you may have.

Let's face it folks, these are difficult times for small businesses, service organizations, and our local families.  We're in this together!  If we can put our energy into working together instead of the petty BS that is flying around us, we can do good things.  We can all do better because we need to be better for our community.  Let's build bridges, not walls.

For more information contact the Y/I Womans Club (YIWC) at  352-447-2057, and leave a message.
