Inverness night drivers on US 41 should expect flagging and traffic stops, Aug. 19-22

Inverness, Florida - During Monday, August 19, through Thursday, August 22, 2024, motorists in Inverness will experience periodic roadway flagging with brief traffic stops during the night and early morning hours between 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on U.S. Highway 41, in the area between State Road 44 (W. Main St.) and south of the bridge over the Withlacoochee State Trail.

The traffic stops are part of an FDOT project (# 257165-3-52-01), the widening of 
U.S. Highway 41 for one mile, from State Road 44 (W. Main St.) to the Withlacoochee Trail bridge.
