UPDATED: Victor Michael Barcik, 56, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 25, 2024, charged with battery, a repeat offense (no bond). The arrest report stated that the incident occurred at Scooter Haven, located at 19350 SE Butler Rd. in Inglis. Barcik told a deputy that the victim tackled him to the ground and struck his face. The deputy reported that Barcik had no injuries consistent with being struck in his face, but there was a scratch to the back of his neck. The victim told the deputy that Barcik had tackled him to the round and punched him. The deputy reported that the victim had a bruise near his left eye, and a small cut above his left eye. Several witnesses provided information as to what had happened prior to the altercation, and one witness had witnessed the altercation and corroborated the victim's account of the incident. The report stated that Barcik had been convicted of aggravated domestic battery in Henry County, Illinois on March 5, 2007.
Terri Michelle Bernhart, 23, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 24, 2024, charged with battery ($1,000 bond),
Gerald Browning, 43, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 27, 2024, charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and fraud by impersonating another person or giving false identification to a law enforcement officer ($14,000 bond). He was also charged with probation violation (no bond).
Warren Rashad Frazier, 34, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 25, 2024, on two out of county warrants, with his bonds set at $25,000 and $50,000.
Thomas Gross, Jr., 35, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 28, 2024, charged with probation violation (no bond).
UPDATED: Robert Head (see photo, above right), 58, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Williston Police Department, July 26, 2024, charged with first degree premeditated first degree murder, attempted murder, and first degree arson of a dwelling with people present (no bond). According to Williston Police Chief Mike Rolls, the incident occurred during a heated argument at a residence located on 1108 NE 4th Ave. in Williston. Head is accused of throwing gas at the victim, then throwing a lit piece of paper near the victim, which caused the fire that resulted in the victim's death. Head allegedly then walked out of the residence with a machete, stating he'd contemplated committing suicide with it. A second person inside the home escaped from the home.
UPDATED: Stephen Higgins, 60, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 22, 2024, charged with criminal mischief with damage to property valued at more than $200 but less than $1,000 ($500 bond). The arrest report stated that the victim lives in a camper on Higgins's property, and she arrived home about 5:00 pm to find that most of her clothing was missing from her camper, with the value of the missing clothing estimated at approximately $700. In a burn pile near the camper, deputies located sequins that the victim stated were from a Harley Davidson jacket that was missing from her camper. Although Higgins admitted he'd lit the fire in the burn pile and denied that anyone else had been on the property that day, he denied that he'd burned the victim's clothing.
Manuel Dejesus Lopez Morazan, 35, of Fanning Springs, FL. was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 22, 2024, charged with operating a motor vehicle without a valid license ($1,000 bond).
Justice McDonald, 27, of Cedar Key, FL, was arrested by the Cedar Key Police Department, July 23, 2024, charged with battery, and obstruction of justice by tampering in a third degree felony proceeding ($3,000 bond).
Keith Robert McGinty, 39, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland (Florida) Police Department, July 22, 2024, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, with his bond set at release on his own recognizance.
Brendon Lee Merritt, 27, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 22, 2024, charged with possession of cocaine ($1,000 bond).
Casey Minervini, 33, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 23, 2024, charged with simple assault by threatening intent to do violence ($5,000 bond).
Larry Darnell Parhm, 68, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Williston (Florida) Police Department, July 25, 2024, charged with second degree petit theft, a repeat offense ($2,500 bond).
Gerald Patmon, 33, of Tampa, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, July 23, 2024, charged with driving under the influence of unlawful blood alcohol with damage to property, and possession of drug equipment ($2,000 bond).
Yulimilet Perez, 35, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, July 22, 2024, charged with driving while license suspended, a repeat offense ($2,500 bond).
Lamar Ross, 47, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 28, 2024, charged with battery (no bond).
Cathlena Kristina Smith, 42, of Old Town, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 25, 2024, charged with battery, a repeat offense ($2,500 bond).
Lakendra S. Thomas, 35, of Archer, FL, was arrested by the Williston (Florida) Police Department, July 27, 2024, charged with battery, and child abuse without great bodily harm, with both bonds set at release on her own recognizance.
Brenda Kay Thompson, 56, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, July 25, 2024, charged with illegal possession of stolen property, such as a shopping or laundry cart; resisting or obstructing a law enforcement officer without violence, and disorderly intoxication in a public place causing a disturbance (no bond). She was also charged with possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted Florida felon ($500 bond).
Nevel Theron Thompson, 50, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 22, 2024, on an out of county warrant ($1,000 bond).
UPDATED: Andrea Tyler, 44, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 28, 2024, charged with battery (no bond). The arrest report stated that Tyler is accused of hitting the victim's face with a cell phone. Much of the incident was recorded on the cell phone of Tyler and one of the other two people inside the camper at the time of the incident, the report stated.
William Corey Vanlandingham, 29, of Morriston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 24, 2024, on an out of county warrant (no bond).
Derek Gene Welsh, 43, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, July 24, 2024, charged with three counts of withholding support of a child or spouse, with cash-only bonds of $243, $400, and $500.
