Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), July 18, 2024
Ever wonder what happens when law enforcement receives an anonymous tip? Read on to find out what happened in a recent case.
Earlier this year, the Levy County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force received an anonymous tip that identified a person who was selling drugs, living in a travel trailer at the Out of Towners RV Park, located at 21151 NE Highway 27 in Williston, Florida.
Detectives identified the suspected drug dealer as 67 year-old Maurice Frazier, and began conducting surveillance and gathering information.
On Monday, June 17, 2024 detectives were granted a search warrant for Frazier’s trailer and executed the search warrant the same afternoon. Frazier was apprehended during the search. Evidence was recovered indicating that Frazier was actively engaged in the sale of crack cocaine.
Frazier was placed under arrest, charged with the sale of cocaine and possession of drug equipment. He is being held at the Levy County Detention Bureau in Bronson, Florida with his bond set at $11,000.
Frazier's arrest was the direct result of a tip the LCSO received from an anonymous person.
