CCSO's drug sting, Operation Clinko de Mayo, puts 36 behind bars

Citrus County, Florida - On Thursday, May 9, 2024, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) released the results of its recent covert operation, "Clinko De Mayo," led by the agency's Tactical Impact Unit (TIU) in collaboration with the U.S. Marshal's Service, aimed at taking drug dealers and habitual drug abusers off the streets, and resulted in the arrest of 36 people.

The following people were arrested within Citrus County during this operation:

1. Derek Wayne Adams, 43, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking in methamphetamine, and trafficking in fentanyl.

2. Jason Christopher Adams, 23, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of fentanyl.

3. Travis Michael Binney, 33, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

4. Amber Marie Boyd, 27, of Inverness, FL, was charged with introduction of a controlled substance into a detention facility. 

5. Elisha Clark, 46, of Crystal River, FL, was charged with possession of fentanyl and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.

6. Paula Collier, 40, of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with sale of fentanyl.

7. Theodore Collins, Jr., a 63 year-old registered sexual predator of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with possession of cocaine, and two sexual offender registration violations: failure to register his telephone number, and failure to register his vehicle.

8. Henley Wayne Corne, 41, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

9. Tyler Cote, 32, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and introduction of contraband into a detention facility.

10. Chelsea Leath Dominey, 29, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

11. David Emanuel Foreman, 51, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with sale of methamphetamine.

12. Michael Allen Robert Granger, 33, of Crystal River, FL, was charged with trafficking in fentanyl, carrying a concealed weapon during the commission of a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

13. Jenny Alexandra Griffiths, 34, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with possession of morphine.

14. Yvette Joelle Harmon, 41, of Inverness, FL, was charged with two counts of trafficking in fentanyl, two counts of sale of fentanyl, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

15. Brian Corey Harper, 37, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

16. Rufus Anthony Hoyt, 43, was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.

17. Patricia Ann Jones, 46, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

18. Shannon Brian Ledford, 49, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

19. Brittany Lynn Lettieri, 30, of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with possession of fentanyl.

20. Justice Jean Lucas, 29, was charged with two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine.

21. Jennifer Nichole Matthias, 40, of Inverness, FL, was charged with possession of fentanyl.

22. David Marty, a 44 year-old registered sexual offender, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and introduction of a controlled substance into a detention facility.

23. Kalim Nyabinghi Miller, 52, of Ocala, FL, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Miller was also arrested on a Marion County, FL warrant for possession of a controlled substance.

24. Richard Jesse Moralis, 29, of Floral City, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and driving while license suspended or revoked.

25. Georgeann Nealey, 46, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of fentanyl.

26. Hollie Joann Nobles, 48, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

27. Daniel Paul Ott, 51, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with sale of methamphetamine.

28. Jack O'Neal Pickford, 51, of Hernando, FL, was  charged with possession of fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and three counts being in possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.

29. Thomas Earl Smail, 41, of Inverness, FL, was charged with trafficking in fentanyl and possession of fentanyl with intent to sell or distribute.

30. David Smith, III, 21, was charged with trafficking in fentanyl.

31. Sarah Ashbrook Smith, 27, of Floral City, FL, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended or revoked.

32. Matthew Thomas Stephens, 32, of Beverly Hills, FL, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

33. Troy Kevin Taflinger, 29, of Hernando, FL, was charged with trafficking in more than 14 grams of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

34. Xena Lee Thompson, 27, of Hernando, FL, was charged with two counts of sale of fentanyl.

35. Travis Weimert, 36, of Hernando, FL, was charged with sale of fentanyl and possession of fentanyl.

36. Cleveland Williamson, Jr., 34, of Hernando, FL, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

"Unfortunately, many of these individuals trafficking or using illicit fentanyl, methamphetamine, and other deadly drugs in Citrus County are repeat offenders with no concern for others' lives," said Citrus County Sheriff Mike Prendergast. "Their intentional disregard of laws continually puts our community in danger. Thank you to our TIU detectives, Community Crimes detectives, patrol deputies, communications officers, and our partners at the U.S. Marshal's Service for all the hard work put into this operation to ensure these individuals are behind bars where they belong. While this operation may be over, we will remain steadfast as we work toward a vision of ending illicit drug activity in Citrus County."
