Sept. 2, 5:00 pm: Ashley Nicole Cannon, 20, of Huntingdon, TN, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office at its main operations center, located at 1 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. in Inverness, FL, on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of battery (no bond).
Sept. 2, 3:50 pm: Robert Francis Foster, Jr., 23, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested at his residence by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Citrus County, FL warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of driving while impaired with property damage (no bond).
Sept, 2, 7:32 pm: Xavier Reyes Gonzalez, 35, of Tampa. FL, was arrested in Hillsborough County, FL on a Citrus County warrant for driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, second offense. On Sept. 3, he paid his bond of $500 in Hillsborough County.
Sept. 1, 3:02 am: Dmitry William Growdon, 24, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with hindering, delaying or preventing communication to a law enforcement officer or judge, information relating to an offense or violation of probation, and felony battery - committing battery with one prior conviction for battery (no bond).
Sept. 2, 11:43 pm: Ronald Ray Johnson, III, 22, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, after he allegedly attempted to steal a package of cigarettes from the WaWa convenience store in Lecanto, but tossed the cigarettes toward the clerk when a customer told him to give back the cigarettes. He drove off, traveling north on CR 491 in a Honda Civic, almost striking a deputy's vehicle, then was pursued by deputies at speeds up to 72 mph. Johnson attempted to turn west onto W. Mustang Blvd. and struck the power pole cables, which caused Johnson's vehicle to go into the air, land on its trunk, then come to rest on its tires. Johnson surrendered to deputies. Due to the smell of alcohol on Johnson's breath, the report stated, the Florida Highway Patrol conducted a driving under the influence (DUI) investigation. Mr. Johnson refused to submit to roadside sobriety testing, and ran away, but was tackled by deputies and taken into custody. At the detention facility, he performed poorly on sobriety testing, and his breath alcohol was measured at 0.095 and 0.110 (the legal limit is 0.08). He was charged with retail petit theft of $100 or less, reckless driving, resisting an officer without violence, fleeing from a law enforcement officer, and DUI ($9,500 bond).
Sept. 2, 9:32 am: J.W. Jowers, 52, of Beverly Hills, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with failing to report his address change within 48 hours to the sheriff's office or on his driver's license, as required by a Florida Statute of a registered sex offender ($2,000 bond). Although Mr. Jowers purchased a vehicle and registered it, he did not change his address on his driver's license, the report stated.
Sept. 2, 11:00 pm: Jason Michael Kostman, 31, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, second offense; and retail petit theft of $100 or less ($1,500 bond).
Sept. 2, 5:15 pm: Virginia Louise Moberley, 60, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation (no bond).
Sept. 2, 11:03 pm: Devin Rae Penrod, 24, of Ocala, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office during a traffic stop in Crystal River, FL after she drove onto Hwy. 44 from the RaceTrac gas station, at night, with the vehicle's headlights turned off. During the traffic stop, Ms. Penrod was found to be in possession of 9.65 grams of cocaine, 4.1 grams of cannabis, and several clear plastic baggies with cocaine residue. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($4,000 bond).
Sept. 2, 3:34 pm: Ashley Marie Roberts, 23, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, during a traffic stop in Floral City that was conducted due to her vehicle's windshield being cracked within the driver's field of vision. During the traffic stop, the report stated, Mr. Roberts was found to be in possesion of what she called a "blunt" (a marijuana cigar), and 0.9 gram of methamphetamine. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance ($2,000 bond).
Sept. 2, 6:17 pm: David Cody Wayne Roberts, 27, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation (no bond). He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, and possession of cannabis less than 20 grams ($3,000 bond).
Sept. 2, 10:56 am: Carly Jane Smith, 24, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested at her residence by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Citrus County warrant for violation of probation, on an original charge of grand theft (no bond).
Sept. 2, 10:16 pm: Tyler James Tyree, 28, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested at a residence in the 6000 block of S. Heavenly Pt. in Homosassa by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Citrus County warrant for criminal mischief of $200 or more, but less than $1,000 ($1,000 bond).
Sept. 2, 11:38 pm: Taryn Nicole Varvel, 31, of Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office charged with driving under the influence with property damage ($1,000 bond).
