UPDATED: Oreacle Elliott, 50, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, May 4, 2024, charged with battery, criminal mischief with damage to property of $1,000 or more, and abuse of an elderly or disabled adult without great harm ($2,500 bond). According to the arrest report, the disabled victim had sold Elliott an air conditioner (AC) unit several days previously, and when he went to Elliott's residence to collect payment, Elliott came outside, yelling at him, and they got into an argument, during which the victim told Elliot that he wanted the AC unit back if Elliott did not pay him for it. The report stated, according to the victim, that Elliott "intentionally spit on him (the victim) 'hocked a loogie,' striking him on his body and arm," and when the victim entered his vehicle, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck, Elliott beat on the truck's hood, leaving several dents, and also broke the hood's bug deflector into two pieces, causing over $1,500 in damages. Elliott told a deputy that he wanted to pursue charges against the victim, claiming that the victim had attempted to run him over with the truck. However, one of the two witnesses of the incident told deputies that the victim's truck had remained stationary during the incident.

UPDATED: Eric Wagner, 32, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, April 30, 2024, charged with two counts of trespassing, and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($2,500 bond). According to the arrest report, on February 26, 2024, Wagner had been trespassed from the Shell gas station, located at 19 South U.S. Highway 19 in Inglis, and returned on April 30 to the location. When Wagner refused to cooperate with deputies during his arrest, the report stated, deputies used a taser (electronic stun device) to his buttocks. Wagner was transported by emergency medical services for medical attention in Citrus County, FL before being transported to the Levy County Detention Bureau in Bronson, FL.
