Deputies responded to the location of the call and spoke with the 39 year-old victim. She told detectives that she'd visited a friend at a residence located east of Bronson, Florida on NE 76th Street, where she'd been held against her will from Saturday, August 29, to Sunday, August 30, by a couple from Clay County, Florida she'd met through the mutual friend. The couple was identified as 29 year-old Alexis Crawford and 30 year-old Christian White.

The vitim told detectives that she'd offered to purchase dinner, and when they returned to 76th Street residence, she became involved in a violent confrontation with Ms. Crawford, whom she fought when Crawford grabbed her and attempted to restrain her with zip ties. Until she managed to escape on Sunday, August 30, the victim said, she was punched, cut, burned, drugged and repeatedly sexually battered.
