Find a Support Group
Support groups create a safe, confidential environment and a chance for participants to develop informal mutual support and social relationships. Women's Dementia Risk
Presented by Alzheimer's Association and ALZ Funded researcher Judith Rijnhart, MSc, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of South Florida’s College of Public Health.
Explore why women are more at risk for dementia. Learn about cognitive reserve and what factors might explain differences in the risk of dementia between women and men. Almost two-thirds of Americans living with Alzheimer's are women. Women in their 60s are about twice as likely to develop Alzheimer's during the rest of their lives as they are to develop breast cancer. A woman's estimated lifetime risk of developing Alzheimer's at age 65 is 1 in 5. To attend the webinar, register here:
