Citrus County, Florida - On August 31, Sergeant Shelley Clark, with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, graduated from Saint Leo University's Command Officer Management Program.
St. Leo University's Special Programs Manager, Brenda "Nikki" Heister of the Department of Public Safety Administration, presented diplomas to Sgt. Clark, and other law enforcement officers from the Citrus, Lake, Pasco, Sarasota, and Sumter county sheriff's offices.
Saint Leo University's Command Officer Management Program provides onsite education to prepare law enforcement officers to transition to command staff, by addressing leadership, ethics, human resources, critical incident management, and other relevant administrative competencies. Students in this program are required to attend six-week-long courses over a period of two semesters.
Citrus County Sheriff Mike Prendergast called Sgt. Clark's graduation, "a superb professional achievement" which "postures her for significant contributions to our agency."
