Levy County Detention Bureau, Bronson, Florida


August 30, 4:57 am: Dawn Marie Cavanaugh, 43, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office on an out of county warrant ($1,000 bond).


August 28, 10:30 am: Antonio Bartolo-Lara, 22, of Clearwater, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol on an out of county warrant. He was released on his own recognizance.


August 28, 12:53 am: Victoria Rose Reed, 21, of Inglis, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, when deputies went to Big Bass Campground, located at 201st St. in Inglis, to check into an abandoned 911 call. Mr. Reed's boyfriend told a deputy that he and Ms. Reed had been involved in a verbal, non-physical argument, but two witnesses on scene told a deputies that Mr. Reed had struck the victim with a kitchen pot. Both witnesses heard a kitten screaming, and one witness saw Ms. Reed squeezing the kitten's neck with her hands when she went inside the residence to check on the screaming. The same witness told deputies that Ms. Reed also picked up a knife, but she did not advance toward the victim with it, and she (the witness) took it away from her. Witnesses kept Ms. Reed and the victim separated until deputies arrived. Ms. Reed was charged with battery, with her bond set at release on her own recognizancen, and animal cruelty, with her bond set at $2,500.


August 28, 12:00 am: Ariana Reynolds, 23, of Gainesville, FL,  was arrested by the Levy Couny Sheriff's Office, on an out of county warrant ($10,000 bond).


August 27, 7:32 pm: Justin Fortner, 41, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, charged with driving while license suspended, first offense ($2,500 bond).


August 27, 3:37 pm: Danielle Dean Gainey, 38, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription ($5,000 bond).


August 27, 1:44 pm: Edward Lee Garcia, 29, of Bronson, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, charged with failure to appear in court. He was released on his own recognizance.


August 27, 6:13 am: Jeffrey James Lee, 59, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, charged with driving under the influence with property damage, and possession of cocaine ($5,000 bond).


August 26, 2:19 pm: Michelle Mary Matthews, 56, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, charged with petit theft from a merchant, second offense ($1,000 bond).


August 25, 3:05 pm: Jeremy Haggerts, 44, of Chiefland, FL, was arrested by the Chiefland Police Department, charged with trespassing ($5,000 bond).


August 25, 2:06 pm: Adam Syteven Ross, 37, of Inglis, FL, was booked into the Levy County Jail, charged with violation of probation (no bond). His arrest was made by the Marion County Sheriff's Office on May 31, 2020 at 9:02 pm, and incarcerated at the Marion County Jail in Ocala, FL, until his transport to the Levy County Detention Bureau in Bronson, FL.


August 25, 3:10 pm: Jesse Torres, 32, of Ocala, FL, was booked into the Levy County Detention Bureau, charged with homicide - first degree premeditated murder (no bond). He was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff's Office at 4:04 pm, July 21, and incarcerated at the Marion County Jail in Ocala, FL, until his transport to the Levy County Detention Bureau in Bronson, FL. Mr. Torres and three others were arrested as suspects in the Aug. 11, 2019 murder of 33 year-old Jafet Padin Rodriguez, of Ocala, at a Morriston, FL residence.  Mr. Rodriguez's remains were found, dumped on Hwy. 464 in southeast Levy County, and his car was discovered burned in Marion County. The other suspects, who have also been arrested, include: Christian Cirilo, 27, Omar Ortiz, 38, both of Ocala, and Kesia Mundo Munoz, 32, who was ararested in Hernando County, FL.
 

August 23, 9:41 pm: Christina Lynn Cummo, 30, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, charged with battery, and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence ($6,000 bond).


August 23, 11:48 pm: Stephen Wayne Thrasher, 53, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, charged with domestic battery by strangulation ($100,000 bond).
