August 20, 9:48 am: Dylan Reed Roberts (see photo), 24, of Hernando, FL, (who was already in custody at the Citrus County Detention Facility), was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office as a suspect in the July 29, burglary of a Hernando residence that was "completely ransacked," according to an arrest report, while the victim was out of state. Entry into the home was made by way of the front door, which was damaged by the perpetrator. Items reported stolen included a small television, a lock box that contained $200 in cash, a 0.44-caliber magnum revolver, and other miscellaneous items. A latent fingerprint taken from the burglarized home was matched to Mr. Roberts, who is unknown to the burglary victim. He was charged with burglary of an unoccupied residence, criminal mischief of $200 or more, but less than $1,000; grand theft of a firearm, and becoming armed with a firearm during a burglary ($38,000 bond).
August 20, 6:34 pm: Steven Roymichael Adkins, II, 33, of Floral City, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked ($1,000 bond).
August 20, 9:47 am: Jeffrey Jay Cook, 32, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office during a traffic stop in Inverness at S. Mohican Trail and E. Shawnee Trail, due to the vehicle he was driving, a cadillac with a temporary tag, pulling a homemade trailer with an expired tag (as of March 12, 2020). The deputy learned that Mr. Cook's driver's license had been suspended. He was charged with driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, and and having an unregistered motor vehicle ($1,000 bond). Due to violating a new law, Mr. Cook was also charrged with violation of probation on original charges of burglary and assault (no bond)
August 20, 10:00 am: Corey Joseph Feronti, 44, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office charged with violation of condition of pretrial release when the original arrest was for domestic violence (no bond).
August 20, 10:00 am: Charles Erwin Jonaitis, III, 43, of Inverness, FL, turned himself in at the Citrus County Detention Facility on a Citrus County warrant for public welfare or AFDC food stamps fraud of more tham $200 within 12 consecutive months ($1,000 bond).
August 20, 9:20 am: William Thomas Lindo, II, 20, of Ocala, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with violation of condition of pretrial release when the original arrest was for domestic violence (no bond).
August 20, 2:45 pm: Scott Royce Orshal, II, 23, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County warrant for two counts of willfully and/or maliciously sexually cyberharassing another person ($1,000 bond).
August 20, 7:14 pm: Dillon Robert Wilcox, 28, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, accused of hitting the mailbox of a home in the 8000 block of W. Longfellow St. in Homosassa, with the vehicle he was driving, a white sedan, while traveling on the street at a high rate of speed, according to a witness who was also driving on W. Longfellow St. at the time of the incident. A deputy reported that Mr. Wilcox and his white sedan with front end damage were located nearby at a home in the 1900 block of S. Melanie Dr. The deputy reported there were burnout marks in the driveway of the address with the damaged mailbox. Mr. Wilcox was charged with failing to report damage to a vehicle or other property ($500 bond). He was also issued two traffic citations: leaving the scene of a crash with unattended property damage, and careless driving.
