One man - Peter Luther, 62 - arrested just two months previously on similar charges
Beverly Hills, Florida - During the early morning hours of Thursday, August 20, 2020, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Tactical Impact Unit (TIU) and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team served a search warrant at 4 N. Monroe St. in Beverly Hills and arrested the home's two residents: William Ray, 30, and Peter Luther, 62.
Mr. Ray was charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia; his bond was set at $3,000.
Mr. Luther, a six time convicted felon who is currently out of jail on bond (posted June 24) from a similar June 9 arrest, was charged with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, operating a nuisance drug house, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Luther was denied bond due to being out on bond from his recent arrest.
Luther's June 9, 2020 arrest: During the previous search warrant that had been served at the same residence on June 9, Mr. Luther was arrested on drug trafficking and weapon charges. At that time, Mr. Luther informed detectives that he has administered naloxone ("Narcan"), an opiate overdose antagonist drug, to reverse drug overdoses to revive at least seven people at his residence. Luther posted bond on June 24, and was released.
"We will not relent in our efforts to clean illicit narcotics off the streets of Citrus County.
