One killed, one seriously injured in SR 200, Ocala, FL crash
Marion County, Florida - A 59 year-old man from Beverly Hills, Florida was seriously injured, and a 65 year-old woman from Ocala, Florida was fatally injured, as the result of a two vehicle traffic crash that occurred at 5:00 pm on Monday afternoon, Novermber 6, 2023 on State Road 200, just west of SW 62nd Court in Ocala, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Beverly Hills man was driving a pickup truck, traveling west on State Road 200, when for reasons still under investigation, his vehicle traveled across the grass median and into the eastbound lanes of State Road 200, where the Ocala woman was driving a sedan, traveling east on State Road 200. As a result, the front left of the Beverly Hills man's pickup truck collided with the front left of the Ocala woman's sedan.
The man from Beverly Hills suffered serious injuries. The woman from Ocala was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
The press release stated that both drivers were wearing a seatbelt and neither carrried a passenger.
