The Woman's Club will not have our usual events at this time due to COVID, including our Chili Cook-Off, SoupAThon, etc. So, we got to thinkin' how we can cover our overhead, support our community, and get busy.
The YIWC cooks are thinking of doing a "Takie Outie" one night a month for the community. We will utilize EVERY safety measure to ensure the best safe food handling practices to assure you are totally protected.
We're thinking about starting out with a once monthly on Monday or Tuesday evenings. You would call and reserve your meal the day before and do the drive by to pick up and pay cash only.
The meals can be individual or family-style and you can bring your own pots and pans.
For instance:
Roast Chicken, mashed potatoes, veg and roll
Baked Ziti, salad, garlic bread
Roast Pork, yams, green beans, and a roll.
Pot Roast, salad, roll
The meals would be a flat $10 per person.
Our great cooks are ready to get back to work. The YIWC is following and exceeding all of the guidelines for maintaining a safe environment. We have a professional, hospital-grade antivirus/bacteria fogger, surface cleaners, gloves, and masks - and we know how to use them. We are actually a bit overzealous in maintaining the clubhouse and Thrift Shop for your protection and that of our volunteers.
So, let us know if you would like to have a great home-cooked meal for takeout here: https://www.yiwomansclub.com/. Once we see if there is enough interest, we can get going.
Thanks for all your support!
