Don't allow scammers to rake in your personal information, making you vulnerable to financial loss.

The Citrus County Sheriff's Office has developed a fall-themed safety campaign, Scamtember, that will run during September 11 - 22, 2023, using educational videos and social media posts to inform citizens about the latest and most common scams that are circulating and teach you how to protect your personal information

Unfortunately, scams are becoming more prevalent and increasingly difficult to identify, due to scammers finding new ways to take your personal information and money. You should always keep a watchful eye out for potential scams. Common scams to watch out for could be presented by way of a phone call, text message, or a scammer walking up to your door,

Topics the CCSO will cover during this Scamtember campaign will include:
        Job Scams
        Text and Email Scams
        Card Skimmers
        Gift Card Scams
        Door to Door Scams
        Change Your Password Scams
        Student Loan Scams
        Sweepstakes Scams
        How the CCSO Investigates Scams
