The State of Florida's "Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday" will run for 3 days, Friday-Sunday, August 7-9, 2020. During this time, no sales tax or local option tax (discretionary sales surtax) will be collected on purchases of certain items, to help residents with the expense of getting children ready for the upcoming school year.
Items eligible for the sales tax break include: 柊ny item of clothing, footwear and certain accessories selling for $60 or less per item. 柊ny school supply selling for $15 or less per item. 謬he first $1,000 of the sales price of personal computers and certain computer accessories when purchased for noncommercial home or personal use.
The sales tax holiday does NOT apply to: 柊ny item of clothing selling for more than $60. 柊ny school supply item selling for more than $15. 稗ooks that are not otherwise exempt. 匹omputers and accessories for commercial use. 紐entals or leases of any eligible items. 紐epairs or alterations of any eligible items. 百ales of any eligible items in a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment, or airport.
