CFEC 2020 Annual Meeting Cancelled due to Covid-19 Pandemic

In consideration of the health and well-being of both Members and employees,
CFEC’s Board of Trustees voted at the July 27 th board meeting to cancel the 2020
Annual Meeting planned for later this year. After a thorough discussion, the Board
felt the cancellation of the Annual Meeting was the best course of action to
protect the health of our community. All business from the 2019 Annual Meeting
will be postponed to the 2021 Annual Meeting event. The 2020 Trustee elections
are held separately from the business meeting and will continue as normal by
mail.
The decision to cancel the Annual meeting was not a decision that was taken
lightly. The Annual Meeting is an important part of the Cooperative’s 81-year
history and serves as an opportunity for Members to learn more about the
business of their electric cooperative. While CFEC Trustees and employees look
forward to seeing Members each year, the safety of Members and staff is most
important.
