Harley Ray Jenkins, 26, of Inverness, FL.
August 15, 1:54 am: Harley Ray Jenkins (SEE PHOTO), 26, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) and Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) on numerous charges, after deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving in Inverness due to Jenkins traveling south on N. Florida Ave.(US 41) at 80 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone. He attempted to elude deputies, and while fleeing, crashed into several signs and the east side of the Dairy Queen restaurant, located at 1231 North U.S. Hwy. 41 in Inverness. After the crash, Jenkins attempted to flee on foot from the scene, but was taken into custody. He was charged (by the CCSO) with resisting an officer without violence, and fleeing from a law enforcement officer in pursuit, and (by the FHP) with driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, refusing to submit to testing, driving under the influence, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. His total bond was set at $10,000.
August 15, 4:11 pm: Jason Edward Blair, 47, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), charged with boating under the influence, first offense; resisting an officer without violence, and refusing to submit to a lawful breath test ($1,500 bond). He was also issued boating citations for violating a restricted area (a manatee sanctuary speed zone) and having improper or insufficient safety equipment. The incident occurred when a FWC officer observed Mr. Blair, the operator of a boat, enter the Crystal River violating the manatee slow speed zone. The officer reported Mr. Blair's speech was slurred, he had difficutly keeping his balance, and he performed poorly on sobriety testing. The report also stated that Mr, Blair resisted the deputy and was verbally agressive toward him, but eventully calmed himself down.
August 15, 8:57 am: Anthony Loren Edwards, 31, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia ($1,000 bond). The report stated that during a traffic stop in Homosassa due to the driver not wearing a seatbelt, Mr. Edwards, a passenger inside the vehicle, was found to be in possession of 3 needles (located insdie a backpack) that tested positive for methamphetamine residue
August 15, 12:19 am: Deborah Elizabeth Lewis, 35, of Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office during a traffic stop at the intersection of Crystal Blvd. and Hwy. 44 (E. Gulf to Lake Hwy.) in Inverness, due to failure to maintain a single lane. During the traffic stop, the vehicle was searched. Ms. Lewis, the driver, was found to be in possession of approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine, 3 Valium 5 mg. pills, 1 amphetamine and dextroamphetamine 20 mg. pill, approximately 0.5 gram of cannabis, and a digital scale with methamphetamine residue. She was charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($8,000 bond).
August 15, 7:15 am: Michael Angelo Perez, 41, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County, Florida warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of driving while under the influence (no bond).
August 15, 12:42 am: Braxton William Proper, 20, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of driving while license suspended (no bond).
August 15, 7:56 pm: Jessica Renee Skaggs, 27, of Floral City, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia ($1,000 bond).
August 14, 5:53 pm: Colleen Ann Barlow, 50, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with battery of a person 65 years of age or older (no bond).
August 14, 5:28 am: Katelynn Lee Cummings, 22, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, at N. Sunset View Ter. and W. Candleglow St. in Crystal River, on a Marion County warrant for violation of felony probation on original charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of synthetic cannibinoids (no bond).
August 14, 9:18 am: Jean Marie Fontina, 59, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with resisting an officer without violence, and battery ($2,000 bond).
August 14, 11:28 pm: Jose Kenneth Gomes, 26, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, as the result of an urgent well-being check to Vintage on 5th, a restaurant located at 114 NE 5th St. in Crystal River, due to the report of a driver being pased out inside a 2010 silver Honda Accord vehicle. A deputy arrived to find Mr. Gomes, slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle. He awakened after the deputy tapped several times on the window. He was found to be in possession of 3.3 grams of cocaine, and 30.5 grams of cannabis. He was taken into custody, charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance ($4,000 bond).
August 14, 9:17 am: Darren Austin Hawes, 25, of Crystal River, FL, was detained by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with retail petit theft of $100 or less.
August 14, at 1:40 am: Andrew Harold Howard, 35, of Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Marion County, FL warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge of petit theft of $100 or more, but less than $750. Mr. Howard was booked into the Citrus County Jail, and then released on his own recognizance, as per the warrant.
