Floral City man arrested after his vehicle smashes into Seffner, FL gas station, pinning a man

Driver Anthony Katosh, 37, of Floral City, Florida, arrested
Early Tuesday morning, June 20, 2023 at 12:24 am, a Kia Forte sedan slammed through the front doors of the Travel Centers of America gas station and convenience store, located at 11706 Tampa Gateway Boulevard in Seffner, Florida, striking a customer who had just entered the store and pinning him between the vehicle's driver's side door and a metal structure.
The driver, 37 year-old Anthony Katosh, 37, of Floral City, Florida, was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and first responders with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived on scene and rendered aid to the unidentified victim. Driver Katosh and the victim were both transported to Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida with non-life-threatening injuries.
"The footage (see link below) of the car smashing through this business and straight into a victim is jarring, to say the least," said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. "It is an absolute miracle that the person pinned by the car did not sustain more serious injuries, and we're glad to hear he will be ok."

Detectives determined that the crash was not accidental; Anthony Katosh was charged with criminal mischief of $1,000 or more. His bond was set at $2,000. Katosh is being held aat the HCSO Falkenburg Road Jail in Tampa, Florida.
