(SEE PHOTOS) - August 11, 9:30 pm: Two people were arrested at W. Fern Place and S. Alabama Ave. in Homosassa, FL during a call for service due to the complaint of a disturbance: Michael Keith Barringer, 39, and Kylee Ann Smith, 41, both said to be homeless in the area. According to the arrest report, when a deputy asked Mr. Barringer what had happened, Barringer balled up his hand into a fist and threatened the deputy with physical harm. The deputy placed Barringer into handcuffs and sat him onto the ground; meanwhile, Ms. Smith began running around and screaming, and Barringer took off running through a wooded area into the back yard of a residence where he attempted to hide under a trailer. Barringer then walked with the deputy to the patrol vehicle where he allegedly began kicking the vehicle and the deputy's right forearm, while threatenining to kick the deputy's face. The report stated that Smith "became hysterical," and began banging on the window of the patrol vehicle and attempting to open the door, ignoring the deputy's commands to stop. Barringer was charged with resisting an officer with violence, and battery of a law enforcement officer ($6,000 bond), while Smith was charged with resisting an officer without violence ($1,000 bond).
August 11, 9:19 am: Bret Tyler Bartley, 23, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested at his residence by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of battery ($1,155 cash only bond).
August 11, 2:35 pm: Kolton Christopher Carver, 19, of Inverness, FL was issued a notice to appear in court citation by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with retail petit theft of more than $100, but less than $750. Mr. Carver is accused of taking 8 AC/Delco spark plugs and a Reese trailer hitch from O'Reilly Auto Parts without paying for the items.
August 11, 3:27 pm: Janice Josephine Feaster, 59, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of driving under the influence with property damage, and refusing to submit to testing (no bond).
August 11, 10:33 am: Jeffrey Allen Lott, 56, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a warrant for violation of felony probation.
August 11, 10:30 pm: Eric Carlton Peach, 40, of Homosassa, FL, was isued a notice to appear in court citation by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. The citation was issued during a traffic stop at the intersection of N. Rock Crusher Rd, and W. Venable St. in Crystal River, due to all the vehicle's tires being past the stop bar while the vehicle was stopped at the red traffic light. During the traffic stop, Mr. Peach was found to be in possession of a smoking pipe he said belonged to a friend.
August 11, 1:16 pm: Sean Saleem Schmidt, II, 26, of Inglis, FL, was issued a notice to appear in court citation by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), charged with retail petit theft of more than $100, but less than $750. The arrest report stated that Mr. Schmidt met with a deputy at the CCSO's Crystal River substation, and provided her with a written statement that he'd conducted fraudulent returns and had also removed wheel spacers from an unspecified store.
August 10, 2:29 pm: David James Bryant, 33, of Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with domestic battery (no bond). He was also arrested on a writ of bodily attachment in the amount of $1,177, for failure to pay child support.
August 10, 10:41 pm: Michael Ray McClelland, Jr., 30, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with criminal mischief of $200 or more, but less than $1,000 ($1,000 bond).
August 10, 7:04 pm: Aubrey Dawn Mell, 35, of Inverness, FL, was arrested on a warrant for violation of felony probation (no bond).
August 9, 11:30 pm: Rapheal Malik Akbar Arnold, 32, of Oviedo, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County wrrant for sexual battery (familial or custodial) of a person under the age of 12 by a person over the age of 18, a capital felony (no bond). He was transported to the Citrus County Detention Facility from the Rutherford County Jail in Rutherfordton, North Carolina by Prisoner Transport of America.
August 9, 8:59 am: Mary Jacqueline Wright, 57, of Homosasssa, was issued a notice to appear in court citation by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with retail petit theft of $100 or less. The arrest report stated that Ms. Wright attempted to return a steamer at the Customer Service department and the employee would not process the return, and Ms. Wright then walked around the store placing items into her shopping cart, then went down an aisle where video surveillance was compromised and emerged from the area with an empty shopping cart and a "significantly larger" appearing purse. The report stated Ms. Wright paid for a soda and left the store. Deputies went to her home, a short time later, and she admitted she'd taken items from the store, apologized, and explained she did it because she was upset that the employee would not process her return, the report stated. Ms. Wright gave a deputy the items she said she'd taken from the store (bedding items and DVDs). She was also trespassed from the store.
August 8, 8:59 am: Jeanna Mae Cornelius, 18, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with battery ($1,000 bond).
