CCSO investigating death of 67 year-old man, whose body was found by boaters in Homosassa Bay, Gulf of Mexico

The body of a 67 year-old man was found Wednesday, August 5, 2020, by boaters in the Homosassa Bay in the Gulf of Mexico. The body was transported from the location by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) officers. According to Jodi Sanders, Community Relations Specialist with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO), no foul play is suspected, and the agency's Criminal Investigations Division is handling the investigation into the man's death. She said no information will be released until the Medical Examiner's autopsy report is released.
