Two Levy County men, found guilty of sexual crimes against children, sentenced to 6 and 7 years with DOC

Levy County, Florida - In February 2023, two Levy County, Florida men were sentenced to serve time with the Florida Department of Corrections for convictions of crimes against children.
On February 14, 2023, 31 year-old Antonio R. Ramos of Trenton, Florida was arrested, charged with unlawful sexual activity with certain minors. Since that time, he has been held in custody at the Levy County Detention Bureau. On February 9, 2023, Ramos entered a guilty plea in court and was sentenced to a six-year prison sentence, to be served with the Florida Department of Corrections.
On November 8, 2022, 28 year-old Imanuel A. Marrero of Morriston, Florida was arrested, charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a person older than the age of 12 but younger than the age of 16. Since that time, he has been held in custody at the Levy County Detention Bureau. On February 13, 2023, Marrero entered a guilty plea in court and was sentenced to a seven-year prison sentence, to be served with the Florida Department of Corrections.
"The guilty pleas entered to the Courts by these men attests to the diligent hard work by the detectives assigned to investigate these heinous crimes," said Lt. Scott Tummond, with the Levy County (Florida) Sheriff's Office. "These pleas also alleviate the victims of having to suffer the torturous rigors of a trial. The evidence collected by the detectives during these investigations was overwhelming, and left these men no option than to enter these pleas.
