August 4, 1:19 am: Skylar Alan Dawson, 22, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, during a traffic stop at W. Fort Island Trail and W. Pine Bark Lane, in Crystal River, on a Marion County warrant for failure to appear in court on an original charge of driving while license suspended, revoked, or canceled. His bond was set at release on his own recognizance.
August 4, 11:43 pm: Donald Edward Hespeler, Sr., 64, of Homosassa, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office during a traffic stop, charged with driving under the influence ($1,000 bond). The report stated that Mr. Hespeler, the driver and sole occupant of a 2001 Toyota Corolla, smelled of alcohol, submitted to roadside sobriety testing and performed poorly, then at the Citrus aCounty Detention Facility, refused to submit to breath alcohol testing.
August 4, 9:44 am: Michael James Miller, Sr., 54, of Homosassa, FL, who was already in custody at the Citrus County Detention Facility, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriffs Office, on a Citrus County warrant for battery ($1,000 bond).
August 4, 3:29 pm: Robert Andrew Nance, IV, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with retail petit theft of $100 or less, and driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked, first offense ($1,000 bond). Mr. Nance is accused of taking two rechargeable spotlights, valued at $69.72, from the Homosasssa Walmart store, then leaving the store withut paying for the items, although a store employee attempted to detain Mr. Nance and his girlfriend. Mr. Nance was arrested, a short time later, driving a vehicle, stopped at a stop sign within the store's parking lot. Due to the arrest, Mr. Nance was also charged with violation of felony probation on an original charge of aggravated battery of a pregnant victim (no bond).
