July 28, 4:15 pm: Henry Collins, III, 45, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with driving while license suspended or revoked as an habitual traffic offender ($5,000 bond). The report stated that Mr. Collins was driving a vehicle on CR 491 (Lecanto Hwy.), traveling 76 mph in a 55 mph speed zone, although his driver's license had been suspended on March 26, 2016. He was also issued 3 traffic citations: habitual traffic offender, having no or an improper license plate, and unlawful speed.
July 28: Jerry Edward Garrett, 47, of Brooksville, FL, paid his cash purge of $677 in Hernando County, for his arrest on July 27, 7:35 pm, by the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, on a Citrus County writ of bodily attachment in the amount of $677.
July 28, 5:45 pm: Johnny Roger Johnson, II, 38, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County warrant for violation of misdemeanor probation on an original charge of possession of drug paraphernalia (no bond).
July 28, 4:50 pm: Jeffery Karl Long, 55, of Beverly Hills, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Marion County warrant for felony battery - committing battery with one prior conviction for battery (no bond).
July 28, 9:00 am: Jontei Emon Simmons, 38, of Holland, Ohio, who was already in custody at the Citrus County Detnetion Facility, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a State of Ohio warrant for violation of parole on original offenses of burglary and possession of drugs (no bond)
July 28, 5:00 pm: Lakota Walter Veltman, 23, of Hernando, FL, who was already incarcerated at the Citrus Cunty Detention Facility, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Citrus County warrent for violation of felony probation n an original charge of petit theft (no bond).
