July 27, 12:32 am: Joann Susan Albair, 51, of Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, on a Marion County, FL warrnt for possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia (no bond).
July 27, 9:06 pm: Kevin Scott Barnett, 38, at large in the Homosassa, FL area, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with trespassing after warning ($1,000 bond). The report stated that Mr. Barnett had been trespassed from the Bella Oasis Hotel, located at 4076 S. Suncoast Blvd. in Homosassa, on July 4, 2020, and returned to the hotel. According to the arrest report, Mr. Barnett told the arresting deputy that he'd come to retrieve his phone, that he knew he'd been trespassed, and apologized.
July 27, 5:15 pm: Archie Leo Brass, Jr., 29, of Homosassa, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with removing, destroying, altering, tampering with, or damaging the operation of an electronic monitoring device; violation of pretrial release for domestic violence, and violation of felony probation (no bond).
On July 27, 12:42 pm: Timothy Andrew Ciangiola, 38, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with violation of an injunction for protection against domestic violence (no bond).
July 27, 1:15 pm: Dwayne John Gordon, 30, of Citrus Springs, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with aggravated battery - intentionally causing great bodily harm, permanent disability, or disfigurment (no bond).
July 27, 9:58 pm: Ellie Elizabeth Jones, 64, of Inverness, FL, was arrested by the Florida Highway Patrol, charged with driving under the influence ($1,000 bond). The report stated that Ms. Jones was driving a vehicle, traveling north on US 41 near E. LaPerle Ln. in Inverness, ahead of a state trooper who noticed she was driving erratically. The report stated she performed poorly on roadway sobriety testing, and at the detention facility, her breath alcohol levels were measured at 0.113 and 0.123 (the legal limit is 0.08).
July 27, 3:30 pm: Robby Dewayne Lord, Jr., 36, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a Citrus County warrant for violation of felony probation on an original charge of burglary of a structure (no bond).
July 27, 8:08 pm: Kenneth James Martin, Jr., 48, of Dunnellon, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with possession of a controlled substance, and tampering with evidence ($7,000 bond). During a traffic stop in the 5000 block of N. Florida Ave. in Hernando, FL, the report stated, Mr. Martin was found to be in possession of less than one gram of methamphetamine, which he attempted to conceal from deputies. Due to being arrested on this charge, he was additionally charged with violation of his felony probation for possession of methamphetamine (no bond).
July 27, 7:56 pm: Gene McCall, 67, of Madison, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, charged with driving under the influence (DUI); $1,000 bond. A deputy reported that the agency received a report of a person, "driving all over the roadway," inside a black GMC Envoy vehicle that was traveling south on S. Florida Ave. near Eden Dr in Inverness. The vehicle was soon located near the Citrus County Auditorium. The arresting deputy noted signs of impairment, including Mr. McCall allegedly falling down onto the ground. He was placed under arrest after being evaluated by a medic unit. His breath alcohol test results were 0.236 and 0.228 (the legal limit is 0.08). Mr. McCall was also issued 4 traffic citations: DUI, violation of right of way, having an expired license plate, and having an open beverage container.
July 27, at 8:11 pm: Heather Marie Scroggins, 31, of Crystal River, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office charged with child abuse without causing great bodily harm (no bond).
July 27, 1:24 pm: Arthur Silvia, Jr., 54, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance ($2,000 bond).
July 27, 10:30 am: Jessica Dawn Thompson, 43, of Williston, FL, who was already in custody at the Citrus County Detention Facility, was found to have 2 outstanding Levy County conservation warrants and was additionally arrested on those: failure to appear in court on a charge of violation of rules prohibiting or relating to access, and failure to appear in court for harvesting an endangered plant without a permit ($200 bond).
