Crystal River man dies after crash, June 28

    According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 60 year-old Crystal River man who was the driver of a pickup truck involved in a 3-vehicle traffic crash on Friday morning, June 26, on SR 200, just north of CR  484 in Marion County, succumbed to his injuries, June 28, and died at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville of injuries sustained in the crash. His death brought the number killed in the crash to four. The two other drivers were killed in the crash, a 73 year-old Ocala woman and a 39 year-old Ocala woman, along with the 16 year-old daughter of the 39 year-old woman killed in the crash. The 16 year-old girl's 10 year-old brother was hospitalized with injuries that he sustained in the crash, but he is expected to recover from his injuries.
