UPDATED: Charles Anthony Green, 44, of Inglis, FL, was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery (no bond). A deputy was dipatched to an Inglis residence due to a 911 complaint that a man had hit a woman. A deputy arrived at the residence to see that the victim was bleeding from several large lacerations to her right leg, that she had what appeared to be "fingernails claw marks" to her face, and there was also blood on broken glass fragments on the floor that had come from a broken glass panel on the door. The report stated that the victim was transported by emergency medical services for treatment, "due to the severity of the victim's injuries." The deputy reported that the victim appeared to be intoxicated, and she had difficulty focusing on the questions asked of her by the deputy. She told the deputy that she and Green had gotten into an argument, during which he'd left the residence, and she'd placed a sofa in front of the door to keep him outside, which upset him, so he'd shattered the glass in the door and re-entered the residence and pushed her to the ground, which she believes is how she obtained the lacerations to her leg. The victim said she then left the residence and asked a female witness for help. The witness called 911, and when the victim returned to the residence to see if Green had left, the report stated, she observed Mr. Green slap the victim's face with an open hand.

The deputy reported that the victim had three large scratches to his abdominal area, two small cuts, one to his left arm and one to his right arm, and a small cut to his lower lip. The deputy reported that all the cuts were slightly swollen with fresh blood on the wounds. The report also stated that Ms. Bugbee's account of the incident changed, and details were left out when she retold the incident to the deputy, but her initial statement was that she got into an argument with the victim in the laundry room, and she had an screwdriver in her hand because she'd been taking apart a bathroom toilet before the argument began.
