UPDATED: At 10:57 pm, Shane Michael Russell, 34, of Crystal River, FL, was charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance and exposure of his sexual organs ($3,000 bond). Deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General store, located at 3795 S. Suncoast Blvd. in Homosassa, FL, due to the report of a man running around naked. According to a report, a deputy arrived on scene to allegedlly find Russell, nude, at the northern end of the business, holding a broom, stating he was running from a dog, although deputies saw no dog when they searched around the business. Upon the urging of deputies, Russell donned his khaki pants, located nearby, and on the ground where Russell's pants were found, deputies located a syringe filled with 0.2 ml of liquid methamphetamine.

At 8:35 am, Blake Michael Ivkovic, 23, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance ($2,000 bond).
At 10:20 am, Gabriel Bencosme, 23, of Lecanto, FL, was charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant victim (unstated bond).
During the timeframe of 1:50 to 6:08 pm, two people were arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) as the result of an attempted traffic stop on a pickup truck with a Tennessee tag that were both confirmed as stolen:
Betty Joan Hall, 61, of Lecanto, FL, was a passenger inside the stolen truck when the driver, 39 year-old Michael James Dailey, also of Lecanto, led deputies on a 45 minute-long slow speed pursuit, during which the vehicle made several stops. During one of the stops, Ms Hall exited the truck and was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. She told deputies that Dailey was under the influence of methamphetamine and in possession of a firearm. Hall was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia ($1,000 bond) and violation of felony probation or community control (unstated bond).
Dailey led deputies on a slow speed chase for roughly 45 minutes, during which he attempted to crash into several CCSO patrol vehicles and eventually crashed, head-on, into a deputy's patrol car. Deputies used stop sticks to flatten the stolen truck's tires and the truck became immobilized when Dailey attempted to drive over a rock embankment within the Meadowcrest business plaza. Dailey refused to exit the vehicle for about an additional 45 minutes, during which the CCSO's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team deployed a flash-bang (stun grenade-type explosive device that emits a loud noise and bright light when detonated) and when Dailey still did not exit the truck, SWAT deputies fired two gas rounds into the vehicle, after which Dailey finally surrendered and was taken into custody. He was charged with aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, driving while license knowingly suspended or revoked (third offense with a previous conviction) resisting an officer without violence, theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated battery of a law enforcement officer, fleeing from a law enforcement officer and the scene of a crash with damages and injuries, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage (no bond).
At 5:22 pm, Susan Marie Johnston, 65, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with domestic battery (no bond).
At 7:18 pm, Jennifer Anne Bernknopf, 40, of Floral City, FL, was charged with illegal possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia ($3,000 bond).
At 11:43 pm, Clinton Joseph Stevenson, 24, of Lecanto, FL, was arrested on a Citrus County, FL warrant for failure to appear in court on a misdemeanor charge ($2,000 bond).
