UPDATED: James Aspinwall, 57, of Yankeetown, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, March 6, charged with resisting an officer without violence, possession of cannabis less than 20 grams, and possession of drug equipment (no bond). According to the arrest report, about 10:20 pm, a deputy was dispatched to the Marathon gas station, located at 12810 SR 24 in Cedar Key, FL, regarding a verbal dispute that had occurred earlier in the evening. Mr. Aspinwall told a deputy that he'd driven to the bar inside the Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at 7010 B St. in Cedar Key, to speak with a woman because he'd been trespassed from her residence and workplace, and the two had gotten into an argument, so he'd left the bar and driven to the gas station. The report stated that Aspinwall spoke with the deputy then left the gas station, and the deputy then spoke with the woman who'd argued with Aspinwall. The report stated that Aspinwall returned to the gas station and began yelling obscenities to the woman, and when Aspinwall refused to leave the gas station - after being told by the deputy, several times, to leave - he was taken into custody, and resisted the deputy. Inside Aspinwall's vehicle, the report stated, deputies found an open container of whiskey, 6 grams of cannabis, a smoking pipe and cigarette rolling papers. The report stated that Mr. Aspinwall was also issued a citation for having an open bottle of whisky inside his vehicle.

David Doucet, 58, of Archer, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, March 4, on an out of county warrant ($99 bond).
Jon Bradley Flores, 36, of Trenton, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, March 2, charged with possession of child pornography and transmission of child pornography ($1,500,000 bond). The arrest is the result of a complaint by a woman who told detectives that she recently ended a relationship with Flores, and because she suspected that Flores was communicating with other women, she looked at his phone and discovered pictures appeared to be of minor female children in various stages of undress. Detectives obtained a search warrant to search Flores home and seized electronic devices that contained images of prepubescent children in sexual poses, and evidence that Flores had transmitted these images to other people. Flores admitted to detectives that he took some of the photographs found on his phone. Anyone who has information about any crimes commited by Mr. Flores is asked to call Detective Corporal C.J. Perryman at 352-486-5111, extension 240.

UPDATED: Nicholas Leonard Edwin Tutas, 39, of Yankeetown, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, March 4, charged with felony battery ($75,000 bond). The report stated that a deputy was dispatched to a residence on Cattail Lane in Yankeetown because a passerby reported that he/she heard a woman screaming, then stating, "Get your hands off my neck," and other loud noises, as though items were being thrown around. A deputy reported that several objects were lying on the floor as if they'd been thrown, which included a salad, and the woman at the residence was trembling, her nose was bleeding, and she had marks to her elbows and knees and bruises to her arms. When questioned, the woman stated that Tutas had lost his temper during an argument that began over a blanket, and he began throwing items, and at one point, he'd grabbed her hair and attempted to drag her out of the house. The report stated that she denied that Tutas had attempted to choke her, although she had red marks around her neck. The victim told the deputy that this is the third time Tutas has physically abused her, that most often he attempts to intimidate her by getting in her face, screaming, and hitting walls. The report stated that Tutas was belligerent toward the deputy, and he'd been convicted of battery in Sumter County, FL on July 15, 2018.
UPDATED: Dennis Bruce Vigeant, 73, of Williston, FL, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff's Office, February 28, charged with battery of a person 65 years of age or older (no bond). The arrest report stated, according to the victim, that the battery had occurred the previous day, and the victim asked deputies to document his injuries, which were described as large purple bruises to his forearms and two red marks on the victim's face, one to his left cheek, and the other near his left ear. The victim told deputies that Vigeant had punched his head, the previous day, while he was inside his vehicle, and he'd blocked the blows using his arms, and after the altercation, Vigeant had left. The victim also told deputies that he and Vigeant had once been in a romactic relationship, but that had ended over a year ago. He said Vigeant has a home at another location, and they both reside on the same property in Morriston, although in seperate structures, and they dine together, several times each week.
Bryan Wright, 29, of Bell, FL, was arrested by the Gilchrist County (Florida) Sheriff's Office, February 21, and transported to to the Levy County Detention Bureau, March 2, to be held for another agency (no bond).
