According to a press release by the Levy County Sheriff's Office (LCSO), after Hillis’ January 22, 2021 arrest, the juvenile victim in the January 13, 2022 case was emboldened to report the crime. The juvenile disclosed her victimization to a family member who reported it to law enforcement.
