Jason Richard Desaulniers, 39, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with criminal mischief of $200 or less, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; using, displaying, or attempting to use a firearm while committing a crime; illegal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of resisting an officer wihout violence; one count of resisting an officer with violence, grand theft of $20,000 or more but less than $100,000; battery of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, fleeing from a law enforcement officer in a marked vehicle with lights and sirens activated with disregard for safety, and two counts of becoming armed with an explosive weapon during a burglary ($146,000 bond). Desaulnier is accused of stealing the victim's black Dodge Ram 3500 pickup truck and 2016 25-foot flat bed trailer, then damaging a metal gate and nearly striking a witness while leaving the area of the crime, then nearly hitting a deputy's patrol vehicle with the stolen truck, and when deputies pursued him, of stopping and backing up, four times, attempting to strike a deputy's patrol vehicle. Deputies pursued the vehicle to W. Dunnellon Rd. where Desaulniers drove west in a reckless manner, hitting the rear of a dump trailer being pulled by a truck, damaging both the truck and the trailer, according to his arrest report. The pursuit was cancelled and the stolen truck was last seen turning onto N. Basswood Ave. from N. Suncoast Blvd. A short time later, deputies were dispatched to a Crystal River residence, where the victim told deputies that she'd found Desaulniers inside her 2000 red Jeep Wrangler, and he'd asked her, "How do I start this thing?"and she then ran inside her home and armed herself. She said she soon saw Desaulniers inside her screened porch, attempting to come inside her home by way of a sliding glass door, when she showed him her firearm and told him she was calling 911. She said Desaulniers then brandished a handgun and replied, "I have one, too," and he then ran toward her chicken coop. Deputies arrived on scene to find Desaulniers in the woman's back yard, running toward a wooded area. Deputies ran in pursuit of Desaulniers, who fell to the ground, and when deputies attempted to take him into custody, he struck a deputy's face, cutting it, the report stated. Desaulniers was found to be in possession of drug parahernalia items that included a weight scale, small plastic baggies, a straw, and a glass smoking pipe; drugs that included 6 Xanax pills without a prescription and 8.8 grams of methamphetamine, along with a Gem 0.38 cailber handgun and ten rounds of 0.38 cailber ammunition.

Jeremy Frank Tilton, 45, of Inglis, FL, was charged with domestic battery (no bond). According to the arrest report, the victim told a deputy that Mr. Tilton had consumed an excessive amount of beer during the evening and got into an argument with her, during which he placed his right forearm to her chest and pressed her against a wall inside the residence, near the front door. The victim told the deputy that she gathered her belongings, and as she left the residence, he threw a metal dog crate out of the residence, by way of the front door, striking the back on her right lower leg with it. The report stated the victim had no visable injuries to her leg.
Richard Ray Robinett, 59, of Homosassa, FL, was charged with disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest with violence, battery of a law enforcement officer, possession of a concealed firearm while impaired, and three counts of simple assault of a law enforcement officer ($28,000). According to the arrest report, at 9:03 pm, Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers arrested the driver of a vehicle for driving under the influence on U.S. Hwy 19 at W. Faust Ln. in Homosassa, and the passenger of the vehicle, Mr Robinette, who smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of impairment, was argumentative with and threatened the FHP troopers, and also refused to walk home or contact a driver to drive him home. When he continued to resist troopers, they used a taser (electronic stun weapon) to gain his compliance. During the incident, the report stated, Robinett kicked one trooper in the chest area. Troopers also found a fully loaded Taurus revolver in the pocket of his cargo pants.
